Notes about Congo, Brazzaville
The Term "The Congo" is referring to two separate nations having classifiable differences with each other in terms of their "friendliness" with the USA. Although The Democratic Republic of the Congo has been traditionally the one "less" friendly there has been a recent shift in their political relations with the west. Commonly a distinction is made by referring to the Republic of The Congo as Brazzaville, its Capital and Kinshasa the Capital of The Democratic Republic of the Congo. Hopefully this distinction is helpful to our travelers.
